Panoramic city tour of Copenhagen
Get acquainted with this charming city on an included panoramic tour. View the famed Little Mermaid statue on her watery perch, visit the Nyhavn canal district, swing by towered and turreted Rosenborg Castle, and contrast that with the more-dignified Amalienborg Castle where Denmark’s Queen Margrethe II resides today. Visit the Torvehallerne food market to taste the freshest local fare and interact with the people who live here and grow produce, flowers, and more. Peruse among the more than 60 stalls for a delicious lunch on your own before enjoying the rest of the afternoon at leisure. Dinner is on your own tonight — and from the renowned Noma restaurant to an up-cropping of other Michelin-starred gems, food has become Copenhagen’s main attraction!
At leisure in Copenhagen
Following breakfast, enjoy a full day to explore Copenhagen as you wish. Perhaps you’ll visit Tivoli Gardens, the city's historic amusement park, a wonderland of display gardens, concert venues, exotic architecture, and, of course, rides. (Tivoli Gardens is just a 2-minute walk from your hotel!) We'll also provide a free shuttle service between your hotel and the city center.
Throughout the day, your fellow cruisetour travelers will be arriving, and you'll join them tonight for a Welcome Dinner.
Explore Dragør, enjoy free time in Copenhagen, then join the base tour
This morning you set off for an excursion to Dragør, a picturesque fishing village on the outskirts of Copenhagen. Your guide will escort you along the narrow, cobbled lanes lined with yellow houses and thatched rooftops, and you’ll pause to sample some local refreshments. Back in Copenhagen, the balance of the day is free. Perhaps you’ll be inspired at the Danish Museum of Art and Design, or shop along the Strøget pedestrian zone.
Tomorrow, you will rejoin your larger base tour group and proceed with Day 4 of your Copenhagen-Poole cruise tour.

Today, you’ll get an in-depth taste of life in Sweden’s capital. Visit Abba The Museum, an interactive experience dedicated to the iconic Swedish pop quartet and their global impact. Then, tour the Skansen Open-Air Museum to see how people lived in Sweden before the Industrial Revolution.
Inside Sweden's food culture
Enjoy the morning following your own whims and desires, perhaps exploring the waterfront or stopping by the Nobel Museum to learn about the prestigious prize. In the afternoon, an included tour presents Swedish food culture. Walking with your guide, you’ll stop at food markets, stalls, and eateries to sample tasty Swedish delicacies and learn about the national cuisine. Your tastings include great local dishes based on the season — perhaps a fika coffee break with pastry, a sampling of artisanal smoked meats, local beer, or a cutting-edge New Nordic version of Swedish meatballs. The balance of the day is at leisure. This evening, gather to celebrate your Scandinavian discoveries during a Farewell Dinner at your hotel.
Return home
After breakfast, transfer to the Stockholm airport for your return flight home.
