On June 29, 2023, Vantage filed a petition for relief under Chapter 11 of the U.S. Bankruptcy Code in the Bankruptcy Court for the District of Massachusetts.  All reservation activity is suspended pending the conclusion of the sale proceedings.

Do I need to be vaccinated against COVID-19 to travel with Vantage?
Yes, Vantage now requires all guests to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 at least 14 days prior to departure. Upon arrival at your destination, you will be asked to produce your vaccine card displaying your name, vaccine type, and the date of your doses. We recommend that you keep a picture of it on your phone and carry extra photocopies as back up in case it becomes lost or damaged. Will the Vantage crew and associates be vaccinated?
Yes, all Vantage associates are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 at least 14 days prior to joining you on your journey.
Do I need a negative COVID-19 test to travel with Vantage?
  • While testing before departure from your home is no longer mandatory, for peace of mind, we still encourage our travelers to complete a self test before flying to the destination and to wear a mask during travel time (on flights and in airports).
  • Aboard Ocean Explorer and Ocean Odyssey cruises (all journeys): Upon embarkation, all guests will be required to take a complimentary antigen test, provided by Vantage
  • All journeys: It is strongly recommended that you check entry requirements for the countries you will visit on the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention website: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/travelers/
What is the Vantage Health Declaration?
All travelers are required to submit a Wellness Declaration form to their tour leader upon arrival. Click here to print or download the form, fill it out, and bring it with you on your journey.
Will I be required to wear a face mask on the tours?

The use of face masks is no longer mandatory for guests while on board the ship. Face masks will continue to be required for all our crew aboard Ocean Explorer, Ocean Odyssey and MS River Splendor.

While ashore, you may be asked to use a face mask when required by local regulations.

What happens if someone tests positive for COVID-19 while on tour?
A traveler with a positive COVID-19 test will be safely and comfortably quarantined, whether onboard a river or ocean ship or traveling by land. If this occurs onboard, the traveler may be disembarked when possible for quarantine at an appropriate facility onshore. In all instances, a second test will be performed to confirm the first. If the second test is positive for COVID-19, we’ll make arrangements for the guest to recover in their quarantine location before they return home.
What happens if someone falls ill while on tour?
Our tour leaders are trained to look out for the key symptoms and have power to isolate the guest(s) from the group and ensure they receive medical attention. There will be a doctor onboard all Ocean Explorer and Ocean Odyssey cruises who can assess travelers as needed.

If there is an instance of someone on tour falling ill, Vantage will follow a specific protocol to ensure the health and safety of both the affected traveler and the rest of the guests onboard.
Will Vantage assist guests in arranging a COVID test prior to returning home to the USA?
Negative COVID-19 tests are no longer required for return travel back into the U.S.
