Grand European River Cruise - 2023

PACING:

• This is a moderately paced European river cruise along the Rhine, Main, and Danube rivers
• 26 days, 15 ports of call, and 23 nights aboard a Vantage Deluxe river boat, plus two nights in a Deluxe Hotel in Bucharest

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• This itinerary features multiple walking tours
• Expect short uphill stretches as you set out on walking tours and through some parts of these ancient towns
• You’ll have a chance to join included walking tours that go at an easier leisurely pace or some that go at a faster clip, depending upon your abilities and preferences. Either way, you won't miss any highlights
• On some tours you'll have free time to walk on your own
• Museum visits feature multiple flights of stairs

Please note: Vantage's owned fleet of river cruise ships have elevators, but tours are not intended for travelers using mobility aids like walkers and wheelchairs. There are steps onboard. 

TERRAIN & TRANSPORTATION:

• Much of the walking on tours is over uneven terrain, cobblestone walkways, and flagstone paths
• You’ll also sightsee in panoramic air-conditioned coaches and you can expect journeys to an hour or more
• Whenever possible, coaches are used to bring you as close to pedestrian centers as the historic preservation of these older towns and cities allow

CLIMATE:

• Summer is typically the warmest season with temperatures usually peaking in July
